Madeline & Jordan’s spring wedding at The Timber Barn in St. Jacobs was one of those days that just felt easy from start to finish — the kind where everything flows naturally, the sun shows up right on cue, and every moment feels full of heart. From the moment I arrived, the vibe was relaxed, joyful, and full of anticipation. Spring weddings at The Timber Barn are always special (it’s one of my forever-favourite venues), but this one truly hit the sweet spot.
Their ceremony took place riverside under the most beautiful sunny skies. The sun was shining, the air was warm — exactly what you’d hope for in a spring wedding. One of the most touching moments of the day happened during the vow signing, when the bride’s dad played and sang a song. It was personal, meaningful, and such a beautiful way to mark the moment.
And then, bubbles! Their ceremony exit was a full-on bubble celebration and it was so much fun. Seated guests blew bubbles, the sunlight caught everyone and Madeline & Jordan walked through absolutely glowing. Highly recommend bubbles during recessionals!!!
After the ceremony, we wandered through St. Jacobs for portraits. This area is perfect for wedding photos — charming corners, pretty textures, riverside views, and lots of variety all within a short walk. Because the day was so relaxed, we could really take our time and enjoy the process without rushing from spot to spot.
We made our way back to The Timber Barn for dinner, and Gilt Catering absolutely delivered an incredible meal (as they always do!). One of my favourite personal touches from the reception space was the gorgeous paper flowers displayed in the lobby, handmade by one of the bride’s relatives- such a meaningful creative contribution to the day.
The evening wrapped up with heartfelt speeches, cake cutting, and a packed dance floor. One of my favourite Timber Barn features came into play during the first dance — the balcony overlooking the dance floor. Photographing first dances from above is always stunning, and with the chandelier glowing overhead, it created such a cinematic scene to close out the night.
Madeline & Jordan — your day was so full of joy, it was such an honour to capture it 🤍
