Some wedding days just feel magical from the very start, and Megan & Josiah’s fall wedding at Wren House, Stella Collective’s newest venue in St. Jacobs, was exactly that. It was my very first time photographing a wedding at Wren House, and let me tell you… it absolutely did not disappoint. From the European-inspired architecture to the thoughtfully designed spaces surrounded by nature, every corner photographed like a dream.

The morning began calm and full of anticipation. Megan and her bridesmaids got ready in the stunning bridal suite on the property, a bright curated space that set the tone for the day. And I have to mention the pumpkin pyjamas because they were adorable!! Truly the perfect getting-ready look for a fall wedding and such a fun detail to capture.

Once Megan slipped into her dress, the emotions started flowing. First came a heartfelt first look with her bridesmaids, their reactions said it all and set the tone for the rest of the morning. Then came a beautiful first look with her dad, full of love and happy tears. After that, we made our way down by the river for Megan and Josiah’s first look — private, intimate, and incredibly sweet. One of my favourite unexpected moments of the day was an impromptu first look with a relative who arrived early. Those unplanned reactions often turn into some of the most genuine memories.

Afterward, we explored the Wren House property for portraits, and I quickly fell in love with its European-style charm. The textures, soft colour palette, and natural backdrops created such a romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented Megan and Josiah’s vision. It’s truly one of those venues where you don’t have to search for photo locations, they are everywhere.

Their ceremony took place in front of the Wren House Chapel with the sun shining down on us, honestly, the kind of perfect fall weather couples dream about. Crisp air, golden light, and the happiest energy as they officially became husband and wife.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered on the beautiful patio for cocktail hour. Megan and Josiah soaked it all in with drinks and delicious hors d’oeuvres by the wonderful Gilt Catering while guests mingled around the outdoor fireplace. Dinner was held under the breathtaking pergola — one of Wren House’s standout features. Equipped with adjustable louvres for open-air dining and Bromic heaters for cooler evenings, it creates the ultimate indoor-outdoor experience while still feeling cozy. Surrounded by lush gardens and nature, guests enjoyed an incredible meal while heartfelt speeches and toasts filled the space with laughter and happy tears.

And then… the party began. One of the most unique features of Wren House is the balcony off the bridal suite overlooking the patio. I was able to capture Megan and Josiah’s first dance from above as they swayed together under the stars beside the fireplace — a perspective that made the moment feel even more cinematic!!! After their outdoor dance, everyone headed inside where the dance floor quickly filled and the celebration kicked into high gear. It was the perfect ending to a day that felt relaxed, joyful, and deeply intentional from start to finish.

Megan and Josiah — thank you for trusting me to capture such a beautiful chapter of your story. If this was my first wedding at Wren House, I already know it won’t be my last!
